George Clooney no longer a silver fox with drastic new hairdo
It just doesn't feel right...

A day of mourning is in order as we all grieve George Clooney’s iconic head of steel grey hair.
The actor, 63, has been rocking the salt-and-pepper look since around 2009, becoming synonymous with the term silver fox along the way.
But it seems the Oceans 11 icon has finally buckled to the pressures of hair dye as he was recently pictured with a dark high and tight on an outing with his wife Amal Clooney, 47.
The pair, who were seen leaving lunch at French restaurant Raoulâ’s with an attorney friend in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, looked casual, but as effortlessly glamorous as ever.
Amal was all smiles in a pair of oversized sunglasses, high-waisted wide leg jeans, and a cropped plaid blazer.
George looked like he’d stepped through a time machine, pairing his new brown hair with trainers, a leather jacket, and a pair of slouchy chinos.
Though his silver hair has become an unentanglable part of his image, George hasn’t always been the biggest fan.

He told the publication: ‘I was watching Up in the Air and I thought, “Jesus, who’s the old, gray-haired guy?” And it was me.’
It’s unknown why George made the drastic change to his signature look, but its easy to speculate (and hope) that its for a role.

The film is set to hit Netflix sometime in the fall and features an all-star cast that includes Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Riley Keough, and Billy Crudup.
The plot follows two middle-aged friends as they rediscover their youthful spirit during a chaotic weekend reunion, facing hilarious mishaps and heartfelt moments that force them to finally grow up.
While few specifics are known about the film or George’s part in it, we can hope that as soon as filming wraps up he’ll return to silver fox status.
George’s silver hair has long been an essential part of his iconic look (Picture: Joshua Sammer / Imagotua)Amal and George share seven-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, and it was recently revealed that the actor took issue with some of the habits they’ve learned from their British mother.
In a series of resurfaced clips from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Academy Award winner said he had ‘problems’ with the multi-lingual twins, who at the time were only three years old.
‘I’m desperately trying not to make them little Brits,’ he said. ‘It’s not a jumper, it’s a sweater. It’s not a boot, it’s the trunk. It’s the pavement, it’s the sidewalk.’
The actor had very dark hair early in his career (Picture: Nbc-Tv/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)He continued to say that he’s done ‘everything’ to try and change their slang habits and only realised how much work he still has to do when it came time for them to write a note to Santa at Christmas.
‘I said, “So then we’re going to leave them cookies, and my son goes, “No, it’s milk and a mince pie,”‘ the star laughed.
Given his new look, maybe George is trying to keep things youthul for his young kids.
