Inside Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay’s intense romance after Gordon confirms wedding details
The big day is getting closer and closer.
Olympian Adam Peaty and girlfriend Holly Ramsay are planning to tie the knot after a romantic proposal, and Holly’s dad Gordon has now shared when they’re going to walk down the aisle.
The pair warmed hearts last year when they were spotted embracing in the crowds after Adam won a silver medal for swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympics as Holly watched on with Adam’s four-year-old son George.
In less than a year the couple are now engaged and are in the midst of planning their wedding with celebrity chef Gordon, 58, letting fans in on some details of the big day and his speech.
‘It’s going to be a Christmas wedding and they’re looking at areas and venues and lots of planning,’ he said while appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show.
Sharing the sweet moment he found out Adam was going to propose, the Hell’s Kitchen star said: ‘He sat us down in Cornwall. He said, “Holly is just the perfect woman. I’d like to get your blessing – from you and Tana for her hand in marriage”. It was that sort of amazing moment.
‘Everything went quiet. As a future son-in-law, we couldn’t ask for anyone better.’

Adam and Holly have enjoyed a whirlwind romance from picturesque trips abroad to sharing this special moment.

The celebrated swimmer shared the news on Instagram as he commented a string of love hearts on a black and white photo of Holly.
She confirmed the star had snapped the picture of her in a bikini via her Instagram stories, adding a camera emoji and tagging her beau.
Since then, their relationship has gone from strength to strength as they’ve been spotted on a number of romantic dates and even got matching tattoos.
Speaking with The Sunday Times, he gushed about his future bride: ‘She’s been pinnacle [sic] to this moment in my life where I can have peace and I can have that kind of love where it’s not defined by anything else other than the connection that we have. It’s great, and I look forward to the future.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Adam recalled withdrawing from racing due to his breakdown fuelled by depression, anxiety, heavy drinking, and ADHD.
Having been in recovery for the past year, Adam has leaned on his future father-in-law, who has helped him out of a ‘deep, dark hole’.
‘He’s an incredible energy to be around and an incredible person to have that guidance from,’ Adam said.
‘Gordon is a high performer. He worked his way up to the upper echelons of his industry and works in a place where there’s no bull s**t.
‘I take a lot from that and from the professionalism he has every single day with a relentless pursuit.
‘So, when I see that, I’m like, “Yeah, why can’t I work like this? Why can’t I do this every single day? Why do I have to be so emotionally engaged with things?”‘
The star has clearly been contemplating his future with Holly for a long time, as he recently admitted on his Instagram story that he has been working on the yellow diamond ring for 10 months with his jeweller.

‘These are the qualities I pray he inherits. This moment will inspire him and drive him for the rest of his life. Thank you for giving him that.’
The couple met at Loughborough University before welcoming George in 2020.
At the time of their split, the competitive swimmer updated fans and posted a message to his social media account.
It read: ‘Eiri and I have decided to go our separate ways.
