Inside The White Lotus stars Aimee Lou Woods and Walton Goggins’ ‘feud’ as he praises ‘cruel’ SNL skit
Fans of The White Lotus have been searching for clues to confirm Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins are in a 'feud'.

From cryptic Instagram snubs to juicy cast interviews and an offensive SNL skit – it appears that Jason Isaacs was right when he said ‘there’s an off-screen White Lotus as much as there’s an on-screen White Lotus’.
For weeks now, fans of Mike White’s HBO series have been scavenging for clues that confirm Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins are in the middle of a ‘feud’.
The Sex Education star, 31, plays Chelsea in the third series of The White Lotus who, perhaps rather aptly, endures a complicated if not toxic relationship with Walton’s character Rick.
But despite their on-screen chemistry in Thailand, the pair seem to have fallen out since filming wrapped.
Eagle-eyed observers spotted how the pair have unfollowed each other on Instagram and potentially blocked each other.
And with other cast members spilling the beans about tangled friendships in a ‘Lord Of The Flies summer camp’, here is a full breakdown of Aimee and Walton’s supposed clash.
What happened in the SNL skit mocking Aimee Lou Wood?Following The White Lotus’ bloodbath season finale, the American comedy show Saturday Night Live aired a skit of the series, called ‘The White Potus’.

But SNL cast member Sarah Sherman impersonated Chelsea by wearing exaggerated prosthetic teeth.
Posting on her Instagram story, Aimee described the sketch as ‘mean and unfunny’. Since then, SNL has apologised.
In later posts, the Toxic Town star said she didn’t mind people making fun of her, ‘but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?’
She added: ‘The whole joke was about fluoride. I have big gap teeth not bad teeth. The rest of the skit was punching up and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.’
Are The White Lotus stars Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins in a feud?According to fans on Reddit and X, several theories have been shared hinting at a behind-the-scenes falling out between Aimee and Walton.

The same user added: ‘Walton posts White Lotus stuff and tags everyone in the photos except Aimee Lou Wood, posts a whole tribute to White Lotus and still doesn’t tag her, posts tons of pictures of her on his story in a commemorative tribute to the show. What happened?’’
To add to that, Walton chose the song Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac to play over his Instagram post, which is famously about a tumultuous breakup.
Some have also pointed out how Walton may have blocked Aimee on Instagram as her previous comments seem to have disappeared on his account, but his remain on her page.
How did Walton Goggins react to the SNL sketch? As well as poking fun at Trump’s administration and the future financial state of the US amid changing tariff policies, the SNL skit ‘The White Potus’ also aimed to recreate the dynamic between Rick and Chelsea.
Fans have suspected that the co-stars have fallen out (Picture: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for HBO)Starring Jon Hamm as RFK Jr., he begins to ramble to Aimee’s character Chelsea about various medical plans and fluoride in water before saying he is going to go off and kill a monkey.
But, despite Aimee taking offence at her depiction, Walton found the sketch to be ‘amazing’.
In a now deleted comment on Instagram under SNL’s post, the 53-year-old wrote: ‘Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.’
He then shared the clip to his Instagram story and wrote the word ‘smashing’.
In addition, he praised Hamm’s parody of Rick by saying: ‘Jon… I knew I was miscast.’
What has Aimee Lou Wood said about the atttention on her teeth?Last week, Aimee revealed that the conversation around her teeth is making her ‘a bit sad’.
The Sex Education star took to Instagram to share this post (Picture: Aimee Lou Wood/Instagram)The Sex Education star revealed in a recent interview with GQ that it is becoming frustrating that people are focusing on her teeth instead of her work.
She said: ‘The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work.
‘They think it’s nice because they’re not criticising. And, I have to go there… I don’t know if it was a man would we be talking about it this much? It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance.’
She also added that the fact the show’s creator Mike had to fight to get her cast made her feel insecure as she thought HBO didn’t want her ‘because I’m ugly’.
After being pictured for the first time since SNL’s sketch aired, the star was also spotted wiping away tears, the MailOnline reported.
What’s the other drama surrounding The White Lotus?Speaking in an interview with Vulture, Jason Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff, compared working on The White Lotus as being like a ‘cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies but in a gilded cage’.

Aimee herself also discussed the difficulties she experienced on set, describing the experience as ‘claustrophobic’ and as like being a ‘Truman Show social experiment’.
She told MailOnline: ‘Normally when you wrap, you go home. With this, you wrap and walk five steps to your room. You’re living where you’re filming. It is the Truman Show. It starts to feel like that – [you start to question if] anything is real? Everything starts to feel like a set.’
As well as this, the show’s creator also endured a public falling out with its composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer, who said their argument is a ‘very dark thing’.
The White Lotus is available to stream on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
