Jimmy Carr admits what he’s ‘addicted to’ in his midlife crisis
'I'm like the Forth Bridge - it never stops.'

Jimmy Carr has admitted he’s ‘gone a bit crazy’ with cosmetic surgery as he shared his ‘midlife crisis.’
The 8 Out Of 10 Cats host, 52, has said he can’t stop getting ‘tweakments’ after revealing his drastically different appearance.
The comedian has been open about his various procedures over the years, including a hair transplant, botox, and veneers.
‘Christ, I’m like the Forth Bridge – it never stops,’ he joked, referring to the story of the Scottish bridge which constantly needs repainting.
‘Maintaining is the thing – I don’t think there’s anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better, you can just stay the same, that’s what you can hope for.’
He continued to The Telegraph: ‘I’ve gone a bit crazy with it, I’ve got the new teeth and the new hair – I’ve had a proper midlife crisis. Like, “Right, let’s get everything done”.’

In 2020, Jimmy opened up about the procedures he’s undergone, saying: ‘I’ve had a lot of work done. I got my teeth knocked out and put back in.
‘And then I had a hair transplant in the lockdown, which I didn’t particularly need, but what else are you going to do in lockdown?’
He spoke about the transplant during an appearance on Peter Crouch’s Save Our Summer panel game in the same year, comparing himself to a vampire.
‘It’s a very different look for you,’ Maya Jama said to him, to which he responded: ‘I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant.
‘I kinda had a look of… like a snooker-playing vampire,’ he joked, with Maya then saying: ‘I always called you a vampire.’

I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.’
Speaking on Gabby Logan’s The Mid-Point podcast in 2021, Jimmy revealed he had work done on every single one of his teeth.
‘My cosmetic journey started about 10 years ago – that’s more than veneers I would say,’ he explained.
‘I got my teeth done, that’s the first thing I had done, they’re more than veneers. I got every tooth in my head done in one sitting.
‘I did 12 hours in the chair the first day, then 12 hours the second, it was like a three-day thing where you’ve got temporary things on, but it was pretty full on.’
Jimmy continued: ‘I think they gave me Rohypnol – that type of drug – intravenously into the vein and you’re kind of out of it and they do everything and you’re fine. It’s a dream-like haze, you’re in a weird space.’

‘I’m sure you can get a picture up, but they take out the fat there [points to the sides of his mouth] so, you go from having, I mean I’ve always had chubby little cheeks.
‘It doesn’t matter how much weight I lose. I could be 50kg and I would still have chubby cheeks. But they take out the fat from here [pointing to his cheeks] so that you look chiselled and model-y (sic).’
The star said the medical professional responded ‘nope we’re not doing that’ after Jimmy had asked about the surgery.
