Peter Kay and Lisa Riley have proven they’re on good terms after a recent heckling incident saw the comedian make a jibe towards the Emmerdale actress.

The pair got together on the most recent night of Peter’s smash hit tour after he compared a heckler he kicked out of a previous show to the soap star.

Peter, 51, had two audience members kicked out of the AO Arena in Manchester after they heckled him while he was performing on his Better Late Than Never… Again Tour in February.

‘The lady who was escorted out did bear a striking resemblance to Lisa Riley, though I don’t see how that’s an insult,’ the stand-up said in a statement posted on Instagram afterwards.

On Saturday night, Peter and Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap, were all smiles when they got together after his gig at the Leeds Arena.

She shared a series of pictures of herself alongside the comic on social media on Sunday morning with the caption: ‘Thank you so so so much Peter for the most fantastic night last night.

‘We laughed until it hurt – the show is absolutely hilarious.’

Bury-born Lisa said Peter’s show was ‘northern at its best’, referring to his Lancashire roots.

‘It was outstanding,’ she praised. ‘So much nostalgia that warms your heart.’

The photos Lisa included were as joyous as could be, as she rested her head on Peter’s shoulder while they cosied up for a snap with pals, beaming smiles on everyone’s faces.

Taking to the comments, fans echoed Lisa’s glowing review of the show, hailing it as ‘fantastic’ and declaring Peter a ‘legend’.

Her post comes after Peter kicking two hecklers out of his February 8 show sparked a debate about whether such disruption should be seen to or ignored.

The comedian had said, ‘Go on, off you go, Lisa Riley,’ to one of the disruptive attendees.

At the time, Lisa insisted she was not offended by the reference.

The 48-year-old said: ‘Please draw a line under this now, I am not offended, never was offended.

‘I love Peter Kay to pieces, laughter is my favourite medicine.’

However, the same could not be said for one of the women who was removed from the audience.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain to speak about the incident, Myar Curran, 25, said she felt ‘humiliated’ by the ordeal.

She also stated that she’ll never go to watch one of Peter’s shows again.

‘I didn’t mean to cause any harm, I was just showing my love as he kicked someone out but he obviously didn’t like it,’ she defended, insisting that she was merely shouting, ‘We love you, Peter!’

‘I feel like what I said was not abusive or aggressive – it wasn’t anti-social and I wasn’t drunk,’ she said.

‘I was just standing up chanting, “We love you, Peter, we do.” It’s just been a bit over the top, his reaction.’

Peter’s tour, which has been running since 2022 and ends in 2026, is his first since Have Gags Will Travel, which ended in 2019.
