Phil Spencer rarely shares snaps of his children but left fans shocked as he posted a picture with his 17-year-old son Ben, who now towers over him.

The Location Location Location star has two sons — Ben and Jake, 21 — with his wife Fiona who he keeps largely out of the spotlight.

Phil, 55, is currently away filming his property show New Zealand’s Best Homes but gave fans an update on Instagram.

This post included a picture of his rarely-seen teenage son, who pulled focus as he was taller than his dad; who is thought to be around 6ft.

The family resemblance was incredibly strong as the duo smiled together, standing with a cameraman as Ben held the clapper board for the Channel 4 show.

‘Fantastic to be joined by my son in Queenstown for a few more houses & a few days off…’ the property expert wrote.

Phil also posted some selfies with Ben, showing the pair out fishing as they looked at properties around Queensland.

Fans couldn’t believe how similar the father and son looked, with Liz Hobson commenting: ‘He’s a chip off the old block hey?’

‘Your son is so like you. That’s a lovely picture????????,’ Caroline Stiles said as Carol Spellacy Hughes wrote: ‘He is the image of you Phil.’

‘He’s your doppleganger! ????’ said Sharon Emery while Kate Allen added: ‘My goodness, he’s your double!! ❤️.’

Phil and Fiona met in the late 90s, just before he rose to fame with Location Location Locations alongside Kirstie Allsopp.

Little is known about his wife except that she is Australian and moved to Hampshire after the pair tied the knot in 2001.

The family was rocked in 2023 when Phil’s dad Richard, 89, and mum Anne, 82, both died in a tragic car crash.

They had been together for over 60 years and were out for lunch with their carer at a nearby pub when the vehicle toppled over a bridge into a shallow river on their Littlebourne property and flipped upside down.

He shared thanks to fans and friends for reaching out with messages of well wishes after the shocking loss.

After this Phil stepped back from TV appearances for a short while but has now returned to the screen.

This will be the second season of New Zealand’s Best Homes, after a successful six-episode run in June 2024.
