WWE superstar Roman Reigns has revealed when his contract expires, and his timeline for retirement.

The former world champion, who will face bitter rivals CM Punk and Seth Rollins in the night one main event of WrestleMania 41 on Saturday in Las Vegas, has been at the top of the professional wrestling juggernaut for years.

However, it’s been confirmed his current WWE deal expires after next year’s WrestleMania, which is heading to New Orleans.

The detail was included in a new interview with Vanity Fair, while Roman also revealed his time as an active in-ring wrestler is coming to an end.

‘After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max,’ he said. ‘Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.’

Despite potentially being three years away, and Roman’s limited schedule, his retirement will still be a major loss for WWE.

As well as wrestler turned Hollywood star John Cena hanging up his jorts at the end of 2025, veterans like AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio have been open about their own plans to step back.

When it comes to Roman, WWE president Nick Khan told the outlet: ‘Roman Reigns is a massive star and completely unique. We often say at WWE that the next star never looks like the last star.

‘As John Cena winds down his career, it has been great to see our current perennial WrestleMania main eventer, Roman Reigns, look, sound, and act in a completely different way than anyone you have seen previously at WWE.’

Cody Rhodes, who will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cena in Sunday’s WrestleMania main event, has already stepped up to the plate as the current face of the company.

There are also big names like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Bron Breakker, GUNTHER and more continuing to shine.
