Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite has celebrated an ‘insane’ achievement being recognised as a top OnlyFans star.

The Great British Bake Off winner, who made history in Strictly’s first same-sex pairing and made it all the way to the final with Johannes Radebe in 2021, has previously revealed he now shares explicit videos and images for subscribers on the adult-only website.

In the past, John explained that he would not be ‘doing porn’ on OnlyFans after joining in 2022, and later claimed he ‘regretted’ signing up and deleting his account, but has since returned to the platform.

He’s now marked being in the top 0.41% of all creators, in a response on Instagram to a fan saying: ‘Did you expect to be one of the top contributors to OF? You must be very proud.’

John replied: ‘Honestly no, it’s insane.

‘But I know from experience that everything is temporary and popularity wanes.’

He said he was focusing on his brownies company, Ruff Puff, and his hard-working team, adding: ‘My dedication is in growing our little business together.

‘But I’m riddled with ADHD, so I can do both – and I will, so long as OF doesn’t disrupt RP.’

John reportedly launched his OnlyFans profile under the name ‘Jonny Bay’, and, according to MailOnline, teased in his bio: ‘The side of me you haven’t seen… yet.’

The publication reports he promised to share ‘solo’ and ‘collaborative’ content for £10 a month or £27 for three months.

He said: ‘Since leaving the TV industry, I decided to focus on business.

‘Now I run two fairly successful and exciting businesses.

‘One sells brownies and cookies while the other is a meatier enterprise…

‘If you want to buy my sweet treats head to Ruff Puff Brownies and if you want to buy my meat head to my OnlyFans page.’

When John first joined OnlyFans, saying it happened while he was ‘drunk on holiday’, he told followers: ‘Though I do have friends who do porn and think sex work should be respected, but that’s a different story!’

He said he wanted to move some of his social media content to the over-18s site because he thought his workout videos had ‘value’ and his ‘cheekier gym-progress posts’ are ‘more appropriately suited in an area where age-restriction is better handled’.

He added that he believes his Instagram profile ‘should continue to be dedicated to food creativity and branded work’.

The TV star later expressed the concerns his family had over him joining OnlyFans, and that they questioned how he could be ‘a daytime presenter and cook with being on an adult-only site’.

‘Because of preconceived ideas but also because I joined OnlyFans after a mental breakdown after Strictly… it was to do with that and I don’t think I was in the best mind-set,’ he continued, explaining how he ‘regretted’ signing up and how he could have ‘very easily’ lost his job as a result.

Speaking to Attitude, he also admitted that though he ‘made a lot of money on OnlyFans’, it didn’t ‘align’ with who he is on television.

‘I felt like it wasn’t right,’ he said at the time.
