Taylor Lautner hailed ‘best ex ever’ after slamming Selena Gomez’s body shamers
'It’s a cruel world full of hate out there.'

Taylor Lautner has been awarded the ‘best ex-boyfriend ever’ title by fans after calling out Selena Gomez’s body-shaming trolls.
During Sunday’s annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the Emilia Perez actress, 32, sparked fans to speculate if she was using Ozempic – an FDA approved drug known for its weight loss properties.
Twilight actor Taylor – who briefly dated Selena in 2009 – defended her against the trolls by reposting a side by side picture of the singer at both events a year apart and the vile comments on both looks.
‘It’s a cruel world full of hate out there, You can never please everyone nor should you have to,’ the Jacob Black star, 33, penned on Instagram Stories.
‘In my experience it doesn’t make the words sting less, it just refocuses you onto what matters. And it sure isn’t the shape, color or appearance of your body.’
He continued: ‘Daily reminder to all of us to not forget how beautiful you are inside and out…and be a little bit nicer.’

Taylor’s words were met with applause with the Selantors online, with @Lisa5c sharing on Twitter/x: ‘Taylor Launter is the supportive Ex bf everyone needs.’
Referencing Taylor’s former relationship with singer and Selena’s bestie Taylor Swift @JoclynOrona penned: ‘Taylor Lautner the man (and ex) you are!! He literally previously said he wished he had defended T.S during the Kanye West incident as well!!!.’

As a result, it’s been known for those with lupus to experience weight fluctuations, as well as rashes, muscle pain, joint pain, swelling, and, in more serious cases, kidney failure.
Then, in 2017, the Love You Like A Love Song songstress underwent a kidney transplant due to complications from her lupus.

She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made,’ she shared at the time.
After gaining weight due to the medication needed to keep her Lupus symptoms under control, Selena opened up about the negative comments she received about her body on the Raquelle Stevens’ video podcast Giving Back Generation in 2019.

So for me, I really noticed when people started attacking me for that. And in reality, that’s just my truth. I fluctuate. It depends what’s happening in my life.’
Selena continued of the hurtful comments she received: ‘That got to me big time.
‘That really messed me up for a bit.’
