TV fans are astounded after 2-year wait for ‘incredible’ historical drama

BBC fans are delighted to have Ten Pound Poms back after almost two years.

The hit historical drama, which first aired in 2023, is based on the true story of British workers who emigrated to Australia and New Zealand in search of a new life after the Second World War.

Starring Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan and Game of Thrones’ Faye Marsay, the first series was released to a warm critical reception and healthy viewership figures.

Fans have been waiting a long time to get another instalment, but the new six-part season finally premiered on Sunday, with the first episode on BBC One and the rest already available on iPlayer.
