Weezer bassist Scott Shriner issues statement after wife Jillian Lauren shot by police
She was also arrested for attempted murder.

Weezer bassist Scott Shriner has given an update on his wife after she was shot by police and arrested for attempted murder.
This week his wife, best-selling author Jillian Lauren, was taken to custody after being shot at by police in a bizarre incident in Los Angeles on Tuesday April 8.
It’s been alleged the true crime journalist, 51, pointed her gun at officers who were trying to catch a hit-and-run suspect, and refused to lower it when asked.
Police said Shriner was shot and fled to her home before being taken to custody.

The incident began at 3.25pm on Tuesday afternoon, when police responded to a backup request from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in locating three hit-and-run suspects, who had fled into a residential neighbourhood.
A few days on, Scott has said his wife is ‘alright’ before making a strange plug for his band.
‘She’s alright, thank you for asking,’ Schriner, 59, told a New York Post reporter when approached outside his Los Angeles home on Thursday.
He declined to give any further details about his wife.
However, he added: ‘See you at Coachella.’
