Will Smith fans shocked as he ‘kisses’ Spanish popstar on stage after marriage speculation
Eyebrows were raised over his steamy duet.
Will Smith raised eyebrows after appearing to kiss singer India Martínez on stage amid his unconventional marriage arrangement and separation with wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
The 56-year-old performed a live rendition of his new song with Martinez, First Love, at the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards in Miami on February 20, which celebrate achievements in Latin music.
Oscar-winner and Hitch star Smith and the singer-songwriter, 39, treated the crowd to a big production number with Polish guitarist Marcin and dancers performing a flamenco-inspired routine for their duet.
However, what generated the most reaction was a section of the song where, with Smith rapping his part of the chorus, the duo inched closer and closer together in what seemed to be a choreographed section, bringing their faces right towards each other, before brushing past.
When Martínez then sang her section, she walked right back up to Smith, putting her hand around his neck, leaning up to apparently kiss him – to cheers and whoops from those filming onstage.
Martínez shared the video clip to her Instagram this week, quoting lyrics in her caption as she wrote: ‘I want that first passion / I want them first hugs / I want them hard cries / I want that FIRST LOVE.’

Others also wondered how Smith’s wife Jada, 53, would react.
‘I was waiting for Jada to come out from left stage and smack the sh!t outta her for kissing her man,’ quipped @emeraldflower21.
Pinkett Smith previously revealed in October 2023 that she and her husband had secretly separated for six years after marrying in 1997 – but his shocking Oscars slap in March 2022 had sparked a reconcilement.
The couple share children Jaden, 26, and Willow, 24, as well as Pinkett Smith being step-mum to Smith’s older son Trey, 32.

‘If you actually look, you can tell the attempt was a joke. They never actually kissed. The 2nd attempt when she came back still no kiss,’ Anita claimed.
Another fan then argued: ‘This man is [an] actor and has kissed plenty of women who [are] not his wife, he is a paid entertainer this is legit his job.’
The Spanish star also shared a further candid photo with Smith backstage, where she had her legs wrapped around his waist after leaping into his arms for an embrace.
She and Smith have also been pushing their collaboration with flirty teases on social media, announcing the release on Valentine’s Day when the actor and rapper drew a red love heart on the screen in a reel, to which India responded in the comments: ‘We’re like two children in their [sic] first love ❤️ ???? ????????.’
Men in Black star Smith then shared a snippet of himself performing one of his sections of the song, writing in the caption: ‘How it feels when the chemistry is unmatched :-) First Love out now!’

In November 2024, Smith and his wife were seen looking cosy on a date night, and a recent People article confirmed that they are still together despite living apart.
‘Call it what you want. They are living their own lives but haven’t completely severed ties,’ a source told People.
Another added that they ‘are still together,’ but as far as cohabiting, they ‘have had separate homes for years.’
The pair have said they have no plans to divorce after their separation in 2016, and Smith previously revealed during their relationship they had not always practiced monogamy.
