The star was killed in a car crash following a performance in Alabama. Her spokesperson confirmed the news to TMZ, revealing the accident happened on Saturday morning. The Sequence formed in 1979 in South Carolina, consisting of lead singer and rapper Stone, Cheryl Cook and Gwendolyn Chisolm. Following musical success, Stone ventured into acting and appeared in The Hot Chick and as Big Mama Morton in the Broadway musical Chicago.
