Holly Willoughby must have been looking for the nearest exit route when her childhood ex-boyfriend surprised her on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.

And if that’s not enough to make you want to crawl into a hole, Oliver also read out one of the Celebrity Bear Hunt star’s steamy love letters.

The 44-year-old nervously giggled when she immediately recognised her first-ever boyfriend as he appeared on the BBC show’s segment ‘Remember Me?’.

The Dancing On Ice star’s torture was then intensified as she wasorced to read out her raunchy note to Oliver – which he claimed his mother had recently unearthed.

Squealing, Holly began: ‘Dear Oliver, how are you? Please send me a photo of.’

Noting her incomplete sentence, Michael, 49, joked that it sounded like a young Holly had a racy request.

She continued: ‘Have a good time on holiday and get brown (if you can). I love you and hope you love me.’

Holly erupted into laughter as she saw her final sentence, which was: ‘What about the photo of the naked lady Hannah was telling me about. Love, Holly.’

After her humiliation, she simply exclaimed: ‘Oh my god.’

Holly had reflected warmly on her first romance, saying she remembered ‘snuggling’ Oliver by the campfire while eating marshmallows and listening to The Beach Boys.

The former This Morning star could not remember why they broke up – but Oliver claimed she dumped him.

However, there was no bad blood between the pair as they were ‘very young’ when they dated, with Oliver now married with two children.

Holly, meanwhile, is married to TV producer Dan Baldwin and the couple share children Harry, 15, Belle, 13 and Chester, ten.

Oliver was the only blast from Holly’s past as she was later reduced to tears after a surprise reunion with the woman who delivered her daughter Belle, 13 years ago.

During the same segment, she was asked by Michael if she remembered a very special guest.

Taking a second to consider the woman in front of her, Holly said: ‘I think I might know but I just want to be sure.’

Michael teased that was the whole point of the game before prompting the former Celebity Juice host to explain what she was thinking.

‘I’m thinking we might have met each other…’ Holly began, welling up as she spoke and letting out a little sigh before continuing: ’13 years ago.’

‘The reason why I’m saying 13 years ago is because that was the day my daughter Belle was born,’ she revealed. ‘And this amazing, incredible woman is called Fredette.’

Michael and Fredette confirmed what Holly suspected; she was the midwife who had helped deliver her daughter.

The Dancing on Ice presenter held back tears as she said: ‘Fredette was so amazing because Belle was five weeks premature, so she was so tiny.

‘I was so scared and worried and I just remember Fredette, I just remember you saying “we’re going to breathe this baby out”. And I just listened to you and it was your voice then when you just said “Do you remember me?”.

‘I’ll never forget your voice.’

Fredette said she never forgot Holly either, with the TV personality finding it ‘hard’ to articulate how much that moment had impacted her.

She added: ‘It’s one of the most scariest things you’ll ever go through because you just want everything to be okay.’

Belle was actually backstage for filming, with her mum pointing her out and thanking Fredette for ‘bringing her into the world’.

After the show, Holly spent more time with her daughter and the midwife who helped deliver her.

On Instagram, she posted pictures of them hugging and once again thanked Fredette for all her help over a decade ago.

‘And 13 years after bringing her into the world, Belle got a hug from the midwife who delivered her…soooo special!’ Holly wrote.

She said: ‘Fredette, thank you for everything you did for us on that day 13 years ago …you are an Earth Angel! … and thank you for coming onto Micheal McIntyres Big Show and making that so unbelievably special… ????❤️’

Michael McIntyre’s Big Show continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday at 6.45pm.
