Katie Price has been criticised once more for her behaviour as a pet owner, with an animal charity warning her latest video could have become a potential ‘tragedy’.

Their description of the former glamour model’s attitude as ‘damned dangeorus’ came as she filmed her dog hanging out of the front window of a car.

Sitting in her lap, the pooch was shown leaning the front half of its body out of the window, which was fully rolled down, as Katie held onto its pink harness.

The 46-year-old mum-of-five uploaded the clip – which she could be seen filming on her phone in the wing mirror – to Snapchat, asking: ‘Anyone else have a pet like this?’

Now animal charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) has slammed self-proclaimed animal-lover Katie for sharing the video on social media.

A spokesperson told The Sun: ‘While it’s wonderful for dogs to enjoy the great outdoors and lovely when guardians include them on suitable outings, it can be damned dangerous to have the car window lowered enough for them to jump or fall out.’

They added: ‘A sudden stop, sharp turn, or tempting distraction can quickly turn a fun trip into a tragedy.’

Katie has previously had seven pets die in her care, including horses, dogs and a chameleon.

Peta even previously offered the TV personality £5,000 to sign a legally binding document to stop her from owning any more animals in the future.

However, she was pictured out walking her newest pet, a cocker spaniel named Rookie, in March.

She also previously spent £2,000 on two more cats in November, meaning she now owns five hairless cats in total, including Dobby and Hagrid – who she reportedly tried to sell in 2017 because they didn’t get on with her dogs – and Daisy, a sphynx cat which she bought in September.

Her rep previously criticised Peta after claiming Katie had asked the charity ‘many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media’.

She reportedly gave away her previous new puppy Tank after the backlash, having got him just weeks after the death of German Shepherd, Blade, who died in June 2023 after being hit by a car.

This was the same fate with which her German Shepherd, Queenie, met after being killed in a hit-and-run accident, leaving Katie ‘devastated’, as well as Alsatian, Sparkle, who died in 2020 after being killed on the road.

In 2017, one of her horses was also killed by a car on the A24 after escaping from its field near the house, while Pomeranian Sharon was killed when she allegedly ran onto the road and was hit by a car too, with a source close to Katie telling The Sun this was ‘rotten luck’.

Her daughter Princess’ dog, Rolo, was crushed after reportedly getting trapped in an electric armchair, having been given CBD oil for anxiety, while son Junior’s pet chameleon Marvin died, allegedly of ‘a broken heart’, after he moved in with his dad.

Sources reported heating in the tank was also an issue.

Katie also reportedly gave away one Alsatian named Bear after just six months of ownership when he had three near death experiences – including running onto a dual carriageway.

The Mucky Mansion TV star also drew ire for investing in part-ownership of a racing greyhound with a close friend and two others last year, which is understood to race in Hove, East Sussex – just 25 minutes from Katie’s home.

She also faced backlash for going purchasing part ownership last year in racing greyhound Barbie Bullet (Picture: Instagram/@katieprice)

A source told The Sun that there was ‘absolutely no need to worry about the welfare of this dog’ as ‘racing dogs have good people around them who give them attentive care, and Barbie Bullet [Katie’s dog] is no different’.

They also claimed that, while it was potentially a way of the reality star and author to make a bit of money, it was ‘not a lucrative sport’ so Katie mostly ‘just wants to get a bit of fun and joy out of her investment’.
