Lily Allen steps back from BBC podcast with pal Miquita Oliver and fans suspect they know why
She is working on some new things...

Lily Allen has confirmed she is quitting her podcast Miss Me? with Miquita Oliver over a year after it launched in March 2024.
The Smile hitmaker, 40, announced she is stepping away from her co-hosting duties with childhood bestie TV presenter Miquita, 41, to focus on other commitments.
In the latest episode, which aired on Monday, Allen confirmed it would be her last appearance for the foreseeable future.
The star revealed she was ‘very grateful’ for her time on Miss Me?, and as she signed off, Lily thanked listeners and the team who had worked on the podcast.
Miquita said she was ‘proud’ of her co-host and wished her well on her new ‘adventures’.
She added: ‘I think it’s good that we’re gonna have some time away from doing this together, because I don’t think we’ll really understand what we’ve done here without having that.’

‘I want you to go and have some adventures and focus on your sh*t,’ said Miquita, who will be joined by Jordan Stephens for the next episodes.
‘I want to take Miss Me to new places. When you do something you have to be brave to let it become other things. It will always be something that started with our friendship but I think there are more places for it to go.
‘I like to think of a place where people reveal themselves. No one is as honest as they are on Miss Me?.’
The news has added fuel to speculation that the F**k You hitmaker is gearing up to release fresh music later this year.
Some fans certainly think this could be the case, as nonaameslob wrote on Instagram: ‘Going to miss @lilyallen ???? but desperately praying & hoping it means we will have new music from her.’

Lily first told listeners she would be departing from the podcast to focus on other career projects last week.
‘I’m going to be stepping away from the podcast to do some other things,’ she explained. ‘But it’s not goodbye forever, it’s just goodbye for now while I go and do some new stuff for a little bit.’
The musician also insisted the decision wasn’t a result of ‘anything wrong’ with the podcast.
‘I love it here, and I’m not leaving because I’m upset about anything. It’s quite the opposite,’ she explained.

She added: ‘I just need to do some new stuff for a little bit. I’m very grateful for the experience, I’ve had so much fun. I really enjoyed our live shows.’
Miquita reflected: ‘Change is so important. I was scared when you told me this, but I feel different now. I feel proud of us. I’m not going to cry because it’s not a sad day. But I can’t believe we had a silly idea and look what it turned into.’
The friends – who attended the same London school together as teens – have been super open on the podcast since it launched, with Lily recently speaking about being ‘bullied and abused’ by a nameless ex-partner and her string of abortions.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Miquita revealed her first kiss was with an ISIS terrorist who attended her primary school and went on to behead and murder hostages.
