Lorraine Kelly fans rush to support star after update on surgery to have ‘ovaries removed’
The daytime TV star will be out of action for a while.
Lorraine Kelly has given her fans an update after undergoing major surgery.
The daytime TV presenter, 65, announced this weekend that she would be out of action for a while due to keyhole surgery.
Having felt ‘unwell’ for some time, the Scottish broadcaster was told she needed her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed.
Keen to keep everyone in the loop, Lorraine took to Instagram this evening to assure them that the op had been a success.
On the social media platform, where she boasts 572,000 followers, Lorraine posted a photo of her smiling, sitting in the middle of the medical staff who looked after her.
‘Huge thanks to these kind, caring, gorgeous professionals who took care of me at @heatherwoodhospital – back home now and following doctors orders to rest up’, she wrote in the caption.

You might have seen her post over the weekend, she’s been in hospital for an operation.
‘I know she’s planning to be back here as soon as she can. Tyler is with me now, we’re sending her our love and wishes, aren’t we?’
Tyler West then added: ‘We’re sending all love on this Monday morning, also the fact that she’s following doctor’s orders, and it’s very hard to get Lorraine to follow any orders. So I’m glad. I’m glad that she’s rested. She’s taken her time out.’
