Scotty T has reportedly been axed from Geordie Shore after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of cocaine.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner – full name Scott Timlin – who returned earlier this year for season 25 won’t be back to film the new series which kicks off later this spring, insiders have now claimed.

The TV personality, 36, pled guilty last month to two counts of driving with a controlled drug above the specified limit.

The city’s magistrates court heard he had 32 microgrammes [of cocaine] per litre of blood in his system while driving his Land Rover Discovery in October last year in Newcastle.

This is well above the legal limit of 10 microgrammes. He was also found with 800 microgrammes of BZE per litre of blood, which is above the 50 microgrammes legal limit. He was ultimately fined £330 and banned from driving for a year.

A source told The Sun: ‘Scotty T will not be back for the next series of Geordie Shore, which starts filming later this spring.

‘While the Geordie Shore cast has never been expected to be squeaky clean, bosses couldn’t stand by his recent off-screen antics.

‘At the end of the day, it’s not a good look for the show or MTV if they endorse cast members who drive whilst under the influence of illegal drugs.’

The source added that if he ‘cleans up his act’ there is a ‘chance he could return in the future’. Until then ‘the show is moving forward without him.’

‘They had no choice but to not ask him back for the next run. If he cleans up his act, there is always the chance he could return in the future, but right now, the show is moving forward without him.’

Timlin joined the Geordie Shore cast in 2012 but was axed initially in 2018 after he was caught snorting a ‘suspicious white powder’. He returned once more in 2022 before his last appearance in the latest season.

In 2019, the reality star opened up to The Sun about his relationship with drugs, and shared that he had gone to rehab.

‘When I got famous on Geordie Shore, everything was being thrown your way – booze, drugs and women.

‘While the show was on air, I’d be doing club personal appearances every night and I started taking cocaine to cope. I used to be completely anti-drugs, anti-smoking and despise all of that. But I fell into that lifestyle,’ he said at the time.

Timlin made a dramatic return to the show overseas.

An insider told The Sun last year: ‘Scotty’s been in weeks of talks and is now days away from signing on to officially rejoin the cast.

‘He really missed the show and knows it was his own fault he had to leave.

‘The cast all still love him so they’re so happy he’s set to return. It means next series will be incredible – even though he’s done some stupid things in the past, he’s fun TV.’

Bosses had also reportedly warned him ‘to ruin it like he did last time.’

The new season is set in Thailand.

During Kylie Christie’s stag do, Scotty makes his comeback. ‘As the group prepare for a banging night in Bangkok and a ludicrous stag in Koh Samui, no one is quite ready for the return of original fan favourite – Turbo T [Scotty T!],’ the show synopsis teases.

‘Can the Land of Smiles dry the tears of Cyprus and reunite the family? And how will the cast react when Scotty T appears after a long hiatus from the show?’

Scotty won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, at the height of his fame.

But in 2018 he was axed from Geordie Shore and a year later was declared bankrupt with debt of £147,000.

‘Scott Timlin did not fully cooperate with the bankruptcy proceedings and so his discharge has been suspended indefinitely until he does,’ an Insolvency Service spokesperson said at the time. He was banned from running a business by the UK government.

Metro has reached out to Scotty T’s representatives and MTV for comment.
