‘Easily one of the best shows ever’ finally added to Amazon Prime
The drama is 'underappreciated.'
Amazon Prime Video has done a huge public service by adding an ‘ahead of its time’ sci-fi drama.
Viewers have called Timeless ‘one of the best TV shows of all time’ and complained it has been woefully ‘unappreciated’ since its debut in 2016.
It stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett as a team tasked with stopping a shady terrorist organisation that steals an experimental time travel machine to disrupt the course of history.
Timeless originally aired on NBC nearly a decade ago and was cancelled after one season. Three days later, after negotiations with production company Sony, it was renewed for season two.
The ten-episode second season premiered in 2018 but was axed again for the last time. It concluded at the end of that year with a two-part finale.
On Google, viewers have spoken breathlessly about Timeless, which was described as ‘exceptional’ and the ‘best’ example of a sci-fi TV show.

A devoted cult following managed to keep it alive for a second season and wrap up movie, but with all it had to offer, this show should have gone far beyond that.’
Agreeing, Johnny McDobbsy enthused: ‘To jump right into it, I love time-travelling science fiction. I’ve seen pretty much all of the best in that genre—from both film and television—and this particular series definitely surprised me. It’s got EXCEPTIONAL, highly creative writing. It has great effects for its budget, and also for the time during which it was released.’
ChasingLions shared: ‘Easily one of the best shows you will ever watch. I would argue it’s one the best of all time and this is the hill I will die on! Hear me out. Everything about the show like the storytelling, acting, historical portrayals and costume design, to name a few, are absolutely fantastic.’
Echoing their sentiment, Angel Redacted added: ‘This show was too good for its own good. Smart writing, incredible production value, stellar performances. I wish it could have had more season.’

But it’s not the only sci-fi drama taking Amazon Prime viewers by storm as they have also been binge-watching Secret Level.
The show is set in the worlds of some of the most beloved video games, including Pac-Man and Dungeons and Dragons, while the cast includes the likes of Keanu Reeves, Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son Patrick Schwarzenegger – currently grabbing everyone’s attention in The White Lotus season 3.
On Google reviews of the series, Filipe Albanes wrote: ‘The series is absolutely fantastic and refreshing. Even episodes I initially thought I wouldn’t enjoy, like Pac Man, turned out to be surprisingly good.
‘The Warhammer 40k episode, however, was on an entirely different level—it moved me to tears. It was executed perfectly, with Metaurus’ voice actor delivering a deep, melancholic explanation of how Space Marines are created; it truly captured the tragic and brutal essence of the lore.’
Casey S said: ‘I so badly want more of this. Every episode has offered something so engaging and the writing and voice acting and just the art style of each one is slightly different.
