Kanye West revealed he has been planning his controversial swastika shirts for ‘eight years’ as he returned to X.

The 47-year-old rapper, also known as Ye, has been harshly criticised in recent weeks for lengthy antisemitic rants on X where he called himself a ‘Nazi’ and selling a $20 swastika shirt on his website following a Super Bowl advert.

Despite his X account and website getting taken down amid ongoing backlash from fans and fellow celebrities, he has now returned to the Elon Musk-owned social media platform with a slew of more shocking posts.

Including his attempt to justify his Nazi symbol-inspired design.

‘I’ve had my swastika t-shirt idea for over 8 years. It was so intriguing to me that a symbol had so much programming in it,’ he posted in all caps.

The Runaway hitmaker added: ‘I remember going to Japan and gasping when I saw what is known as the swastika on clothing. It felt illegal to even look at it, that’s how I had been programmed.

‘I then found out that swastika had many different meanings and many different names.’

His latest posts also stated that despite his comments no one had been able to ‘stop, extort or threaten’ him to change anything and he had made $40million between his different businesses.

He then declared he was ‘no longer under Jewish control’ and celebrated that Yeezy had been ‘dropped by Shopify’.

Elsewhere, he wrote that ‘a few specific Jews came together and did everything they could to destroy me’. In another, he claimed he ‘taunted CBS’ to take down his Super Bowl commercial after they saw his ‘politically incorrect tweets’.

‘This time I pushed every cancellable idea possible, I pushed every button I could,’ he posted.

He also posted further lengthy rants targeting the Jewish community (Picture: @kanyewest/X)

It comes after he was sued by a former employee for allegedly firing her after insulting her looks and messaging her ‘Hail Hitler’.

This is not the first time West has been slammed for antisemitic comments. Two years ago, he released an apology to the Jewish community in Hebrew after several offensive posts on Instagram.

He has been called out by various stars over the years including David Schwimmer who called him a ‘deranged bigot’.

And a clip from 2008 of the late Amy Winehouse calling him a ‘c***’ also resurfaced.

West’s representative Milo Yiannopoulos also had to refute rumours that he and his wife Bianca Censori were heading towards a divorce following his shocking online ranting.

The couple stirred up controversy earlier this month at the Grammys when the Australian architect rocked up on the red carpet in a near-nude outfit.

In a statement about their relationship status, Yiannopoulos said: ‘Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumour in the tabloid press.

‘Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I’ve lost track.’

Metro has reached out to Ye’s representative for comment.
