Maura Higgins is ‘wanting to move on’ following her reported kiss with Danny Jones at a Brits after-party earlier this month.
The former Love Island star, 34, was seen kissing the married McFly singer, 38, in a bombshell video, with the I’m A Celebrity co-stars remaining silent on the cosy display ever since.
While Danny’s wife Georgia, 38, has since broken her social media silence, TV star Maura has now jetted off to Los Angeles as she teased an exciting upcoming photoshoot.
Despite this, Maura is still reportedly plagued by online backlash, with an insider revealing to Metro that she’s using her trip as a welcome distraction.
A source claimed: ‘Maura doesn’t understand why she is bearing the brunt of the backlash. The social media comments have been relentless, and she’s been feeling incredibly low for the past week.

‘She’s enjoying being in LA and getting stuck into work to distract her from the taunting she’s getting online. For now it feels like an escape.’
Maura is seemingly brushing off the drama, as she took to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon for her first on screen appearance since news of the kiss broke.
Re-sharing ITV’s post, Maura can be seen in a promo for the broadcaster’s coverage of the Cheltenham Festival alongside the caption: ‘It’s time. Ireland v Britain. Who will prevail at #CheltenhamFestival?’
It comes after Danny and Maura were seen kissing in a video obtained by The Sun which reportedly took place at 3am at a party outside The Strand in London.

‘Danny appeared to be giving Maura advice and at one point he put his arm around her shoulder.’
The night then continued, with Maura and Danny moving over to a Sony party at Marylebone’s Nobu Hotel, where they were reportedly partying well into the early hours of the morning before leaving separately.
An onlooker told The Sun: ‘Danny and Maura seemed to be enjoying their night of partying and had no plans to call it a night.
‘They were knocking back wine at the Nobu from 4am and seemed keen to carry on. They weren’t seen leaving before 6am.’

Though the post didn’t include a caption or any reference to the incident initially, fans and friends were quick to offer their support to Georgia in the comments – at first.
But after the picture was up for about an hour, Georgia turned comments on the post off completely and added a caption of a blue heart emoji.
Despite her return to social media, The Sun reported Georgia is ‘humiliated’ by the betrayal but claimed the couple are putting the whole thing behind them and working to repair their relationship.
