How to watch the Oscars 2025: TV channel and UK start time
The night has arrived!

It’s the film industry’s most eagerly-awaited night of the year as Hollywood celebrates a year of filmmaking with the 97th Academy Awards.
Hollywood’s biggest names will gather at the Dolby Theatre for the Oscars 2025, where this year’s nominees will find out whether they’ve done enough to earn the coveted gold-plated trophy.
This year’s nominees include the likes of Ralph Fiennes and Timothée Chalamet for best actor, and Demi Moore and Mikey Madison for best actress.
Meanwhile, The Substance, The Brutalist and Anora are among those battling it out for best picture.
For the second year running, UK audiences will be able to watch the Oscars live and for free, tuning in as the trophies are dished out… if you can stay up late enough, that is.
Here’s how you can watch the Oscars 2025 in the United Kingdom tonight.

Meanwhile, viewers in Central and Northern Scotland will be able to watch the show on ITV’s Scottish counterpart, STV and STV Player.
Jonathan Ross will host live coverage of the Oscars ceremony from 10:30pm on ITV and will be joined by a panel which includes Jason Isaacs, Mariella Frostrup and Elle Osili-Wood.

As for the main event, this will kick off at midnight in the UK (7pm Eastern Time).
Coverage will continue through to the early hours of Monday morning, with the ceremony expected to end at around 3am UK time.

She is nominated against Cynthia Erivo for Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascon for Emilia Perez, Mikey Madison in Anora, and Fernanda Torres in I’m Still Here.
Elsewhere, Adrien Brody will be competing against Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing) and Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown) for his work in The Brutalist.
The Brutalist will face off against The Substance for best picture in a fight in which Anora, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Perez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys and Wicked have also been nominated.
The Oscars airs on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK on Sunday, March 2 from 10:30pm
