Mrs Hinch has revealed her newborn son was rushed to hospital just weeks after she was also admitted.

The influencer, Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame sharing tips for home cleaning. The 35-year-old now boasts 4.4 million Instagram followers.

Mrs Hinch, who shares sons Ronnie, Lennie and Vinnie with husband Jamie, underwent surgery last month after being diagnosed with a blood clot a few weeks after giving birth to her youngest in February.

However, she’s now revealed her baby also suffered a health scare recently too.

Sharing a series of photos and videos of Vinnie in hospital, she explained: ‘Hello Everyone, a little update from us. Having stayed in hospital this last week with Vinnie I am SO grateful we are now back home.

‘Vinnies “reflux” journey is something I’ve never experienced before and my gut couldn’t settle on “it’s just reflux this will pass”. I ended up taking Vinnie to A&E, and after further examinations yes Vinnie has reflux and CMPA but also Laryngomalacia.

‘This is a common congenital condition, present at birth, where the soft tissues of the voice box collapse inward during feeding. To finally have answers and knowing as parents that we are not going crazy feels more settling yet nerve wracking. I feel relieved that we have been listened to and a care plan is in place for Vinnie, which avoids any potential surgery if all goes to plan.’

She went on to explain: ‘We just need to ensure Vinnie gains weight over the next month and go from there. One feed at a time (Don’t get me wrong… I know just how blessed we are as a family, but it really seems to be one thing after another knocking us down this last year, and my nerves feel broken to say the least)

What is laryngomalacia?

Laryngomalacia is a voice box disorder that is common in newborns.

It occurs when tissues above their voice box soften and fall over their airway which causes stridor (noisy or high-pitched breathing).

Babies with severe laryngomalacia may have these symptoms have apnea (long pauses in breathing), aspiration (pulling food into the lungs) difficulty swallowing and inability to gain weight.

Laryngomalacia usually goes away on its own by the time babies are one to two years old, however some might need medication or surgery.

‘But we keep going, we all do, we have to, because things will surely start to look up again soon. So, just a gentle reminder today …. Never give up on your instinct. You’re not silly, your gut knows. Have a beautiful Easter weekend everyone. (P.S. For those also facing any of these cases, Laryngomalacia especially, it would be so reassuring hearing your story, thank you) xx.’

Last month Mrs Hinch explained how doctors had discovered a blood clot on her leg.

‘To cut a long story short, I had a blood clot in my groin, pelvis, leg area. I haven’t had one since 2018 and then another one decides to hit me three weeks postpartum. What a 12 months it’s been,’ she shared.

However, she went on to share the operation ‘went well’ and she was ‘keeping positive’.

In 2022, the influencer opened up about her blood clotting disorder, telling followers: ‘Basically, I have a blood disorder – so my blood clots really easily. I’m always on blood thinners, and I have had a blood clot in the past.’

Mrs Hinch has an inherited condition called Protein S deficiency and Factor V Leiden, which makes her more likely to develop blood clots and can sometimes cause bruised skin.

After starting to share cleaning videos online in 2018, she went on to write several books including a memoir, which was a Sunday Times Bestseller.
