Strictly star Jamie Borthwick ‘dumped by girlfriend’ amid sex toy scandal

Strictly Come Dancing star Jamie Borthwick was reportedly dumped by his girlfriend shortly before the sex toy scandal involving him and Wynne Evans.

The EastEnders star was with his partner for a year during the time he was on the BBC show and live tour, but kept their relationship out of the spotlight.

Now, it’s said the 30-year-old star’s romance ended after his stint on the Strictly tour.

An insider said: ‘Strictly was a whirlwind for Jamie and they managed to keep it going when he was on the show.

They continued to The Sun: ‘But Chloe dumped Jamie when he finished the Strictly tour. She said she felt like Jamie didn’t have time for her.

Although the breakup happened before the drama, the report has surfaced after he was allegedly told off by BBC bosses over a video of him and Wynne joking around with a sex toy.

In footage obtained this week, the pair could be seen backstage after Wynne apparently sent a sex toy to Jamie backstage at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.

As reported by The Sun on Sunday, Jamie filmed himself joking around with the toy, as Wynne practiced a routine behind him with his shirt off.

Jamie smiled and held up the flesh-coloured rubber toy, and said: ‘Look at what he bought me. I opened it up, and he surprised me with this, didn’t he? It’s so funny.’

He reportedly sent the video to the Strictly celebs’ WhatsApp group, resulting in some uncomfortable co-stars and a telling-off from bosses.

Although Jamie has been linked to EastEnders co-stars Jazzy Phoenix and Danielle Harold, he denied both romances.

He previously told the Mirror: ‘They linked me with Jazzy and they linked me with Danielle. I’m just surprised they haven’t linked me with [Strictly Come Dancing 2023 Christmas special partner] Nancy [Xu]!’

He previously admitted to having a huge crush on another Albert Square cast mate, Emma Barton.

‘I was about 14 when I first set eyes on Emma Barton. I fell in love with her long, shapely legs and I wanted to marry her,’ he recalled to the TV Times.

While his co-star Perry Penwick dared him to chat her up, he joked it didn’t go to plan.

He quipped: ‘I remember walking over to her and saying, “Alright darlin’, wow, you smell nice.” It brought the house down and we still laugh about it now.’
