Susanna Reid has declared that music is her drug after revealing she likes going clubbing with her three young sons in Ibiza.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 54, has three sons – 22-year-old Sam, 21-year-old Finn, and 19-year-old Jack – and is aiming to soak up as much time with them as she can.

Mum-of-three Susanna shares her lads with her ex-partner, former sports reporter Dominic Cotton – the two were together between 1998 and 2014.

And the former BBC Breakfast host has revealed the way she’s chosen to spend time with Sam, Finn, and Jack before they move out is by partying hard.

‘I’m not really a pub-goer, but I go clubbing,’ the teetotal TV presenter told Woman & Home. ‘I went clubbing with them [last summer] and had the most amazing time.’

While she is occasionally tempted by tipple on special occasions – Christmas and family birthdays – Susanna has maintained her sobriety, even in the sun-kissed streets of Spain’s Balearic islands.

‘I stopped drinking in 2018 and I’m now predominantly teetotal. I have a Buck’s Fizz on Christmas Day, I had half a glass of champagne on my mum’s birthday.

‘I have a drink once every couple of months – including a couple in Ibiza – but I don’t have pints at the pub like I did in my 20s. Being virtually teetotal hasn’t damaged my social life.’

But, she added, there was only one drug she was after on the famous party island: ‘In any case, in Ibiza, music is your drug.’

Susanna told Woman & Home that she’s going clubbing in Ibiza with her sons because she knows they’ll soon be old enough to leave home and make their own way.

‘At some point, my boys will scatter to the wind. I used to imagine being sad when they leave. Now I just feel they are developing their own wings to fly.

‘[But] I want to be around as much as I can because they really are about to go. I’m enjoying my diminishing time with the children.’

She also told the publication that she’s ‘part of the sandwich generation’ whose parents are getting much older as their kids prepare to leave home – she’s spending as much time with her family as she can.

After her holiday in Ibiza, she told viewers about it upon her return, saying on GMB: ‘This summer, I took my boys to Ibiza. I have been going for 10 years.

‘It was amazing to really enjoy it with my boys now they are old enough to go clubbing. We go to the day clubs together and then I go back to the hotel and they go to the nightclubs.’

Susanna’s latest revelation comes less than a month after she shocked her GMB co-host Ed Balls by revealing the plans she’s made for her own death.

In a conversation with guest Lorraine, Susanna revealed she has a book that ‘says where everything is’, but that it doesn’t include her passwords, as that’s ‘separate’.

Ed appeared surprised by the idea of having anything set up in case he dies, as he said aloud to Susanna and Lorraine: ‘Nobody told me about this.’

Susanna also urged people watching at home to ‘please do a will as well’ as Lorraine added that, while it might be a difficult conversation to have, ‘You have the conversation and then it’s done’.
